Mumbai Terror - Hum Jeet Ke Bhi Haar Gaye
Our security forces successfully overpowered and also killed the Terrorists who were holed up in TAJ, Trident and Nariman House in Mumbai creating mayhem and havoc this month.
Mumbaikers were rejoicing and chanting slogans of Bharat Mata ki Jai, Vandemataram etc. when the Terrorists got killed.
Why are we rejoicing?
Are we rejoicing because the Terrorists killed our Top Police brass or because they brought the whole of India to its knees for 3 days? Is it because our guests who we Indians treat as gods are killed or is it because they destroyed our Heritage structures and others?
The terrorists, in any case came here to die. So by killing a few young and misguided people who we called Terrorists, have we really won this battle?
Who has won the battle?
In fact they have won. They have achieved their objective. They had come here to kill hundreds of people which they did. They wanted to destroy our heritage structures, they did. They wanted India to come to a stand still, they did. They wanted free publicity of their terror, they got it.
They kept us on tenterhooks in such a manner that our former Prime Minister Mr. V.P.Singh died, we did not even take cognizance of it. Nor did any of the top National Channels aired this properly.
Terrorism is like AIDS/Cancer
Terrorism is like cancer. That is, like cancer it is detrimental. So prevention is better than cure. This could have been prevented. Then why was it not prevented? What were our dear leaders doing?
They were not doing anything as they were casual in attitude or they were busy with their selfish motives. Even now they will not change because you/we are happy and so happy that upon the death of hand full of terrorists you/we were rejoicing. This has given them more strength and again they have become their usual self, for example look how casual the top two of Maharashtra are.
The Chief Minister – Extricating advantage from the rubble and the dead bodies
When the whole of India and several other countries are mourning the death of around 200 people (and more than double wounded) the Chief Minister and his entourage officially visits the Taj Hotel today to assess the situation (probably), but along with his son and a noted Film Director.
Had his son not been an actor perhaps he would never have entertained any film personality in this visit. At this point of time when hundreds of families across the world are crying as they lost their near and dear ones, look at the ugly hypocrisy and selfishness of the top person in the state.
Instead of owning the responsibility and quitting the office the Chief Minister misuses his power. This is because we were happy that Terrorists have died and rejoicing. Had we rejoiced a little more then he would have brought the whole of Bollywood along with him and leading to more offers for his son.
The Deputy Chief Minister – Hundreds of Foreigners killed and wounded, so what
When guests come to India we Indians sing with pride - Mehamaan jo hamaara hota hai, wo jaan se pyaara hota hai (Our guest is more important than out own life). Lekin hum ne to unke jaan hi le liye (but we ourselves took their lives).
Hundreds of innocent foreigners in India are killed mercilessly in Terror strikes, but for Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister this is a small thing. He says 'Bade sheharon me eise chote cheez hote hi rehte hai'.
He apparently is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan and has seen "Dilwale Dulhania le jaayenge" several times, in which Shah Rukh says "Bade bade sheharon me eise chote chote cheez hote rehte hai".
If hundreds of Foreigners getting killed is a small thing then what is a big thing for this second in command of the state?
Ask for their Heads
It is a shame that a bunch of misguided youngsters threw the whole of the country out of gear. So my dear fellow Indians this is not the time for rejoicing, this is the time to know why it happened. Why it could not be prevented? What are our so called leaders doing? After several blasts in Mumbai what action have the Politicians taken and implemented? What actions are they going to take to ensure that this eventuality will not happen again?
Let the Chief Minister and his deputy along with Home Minister take the responsibility and either quit the office (like Shivraj Patil) or give strong assurance that this kind of terror will never take place.
So stop rejoicing. Enough is enough. Take no more. If required take processions to secretariat, Assembly or to chief Ministers House etc, Remember, Mumbai is your place, you need to live, not this bunch of jokers, who have no respect for human life.

Hundreds of FOREIGNERS are killed - Its a small thing for Dy.Chief Minister
Hundreds of innocent foreigners in India are killed mercilessly in Terror strikes, but for Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister this is a small thing. He says 'Bade sheharon me eise chote cheez hote hi rehte hai'.
I think he is a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan and has seen "Dilwale Dulhania le jaayenge" several times, in which Shah Rukh says "Bade bade sheharon me eise chote chote cheez hote rehte hai".
If hundreds of Foreigners getting killed is a small thing then we need to know what is a big thing according our dear leader, the second in command of the state.
Even Terror and Destruction can be used for selfish gains, proves the Chief Minister
Had his son not been an actor perhaps he would never have entertained any film personality in this visit. At this point of time when hundreds of families across the world are crying as they lost their near and dear ones, look at the ugly hypocrisy and selfishness of the top person in that state.
Mumbaikers should take this very seriously, as the Chief Minister misuses his power at a time when he is supposed to own the responsibility and quit the office.

Hum apne aap ko teharne me maahir samajte te,
samunder me teherna bhai haath ka khel samajte te,
Isi guroor me unki aankhon me jaankne ki himmat kar baita,
Aur unke gaharaayiyon me doobke, jaan se haath do baita.
***********************************************************************
Unke aankhon ne hame itna hai kar diya madhosh,
Dil nehi chaahta hai ke hum aaye kabi vaapis me hosh,
Inke akhiyon ne hame itna hai nashe me dubo diya,
Ke duniya kehti hai hame sharaabi jab ki humne sharaab pina, kab ka chod diya.
***********************************************************************
Unke akhiyonko door se dek ke aahe barte te,
Sirf sapno me hi inhe nazdeek se deka karte te,
Lekin inke aankhon me ek baar jo deka, to hamaara iraada hi badal gaya,
Chaahe kuch bi ho jaaye, ab har sapne ko haqeeqat me badal denge,
Aur in payaari si akhiyon ko hamaare dil me basaakar hi dum tod denge.

My focus is on Burning Issues
But there is a saying in Telugu -Inta gelichi raccha gelavaali. I would like to focus more on our domestic issues first. Daily we see children on the road begging or selling something. Young girls (children) are forced into prostitution etc. While we are growing on one side, the other side these things are happening. According to me no issue is bigger than this in India.
Hence my Article was related to that. It is with the Editor and again he asked me to call him on Sunday to discuss regarding the same. I shall publish the whole Article on this Blog soon.

Today with TOI Editor
Appointment was for 12.30pm, Editor walked into the office at around 1.20pm and met me at 2.20pm. We discussed regarding my new Article "IT Professionals - The Hidden Power".
This is the third time I am meeting him in his chambers in a months time. First time we discussed about my Article on Chiranjeevi and Politics. He says it is not an Article but a big project report for Chiranjeevi. He promised to condense the same and do something about it. Later he also said that he is deterred by the size of the Article as it is over 3000 words. Nevertheless, he says he will work on it and asked me to meet him when he is free, may be in the evenings. Later he left for some country and we could not take it forward.
Second time we discussed about my Article on TRS and also on another Article on “Rain – Its effects in our society”. TRS in anyway is published in Andhra Jyothi. But regarding Rain related Article he says everything is fine and what I wrote will only happen but the suggestion I gave will not work. One of my suggestions is that our Administration and the Politicians should visit the developed countries to learn the methods, techniques and the technology used there and try to implement the same here. The Editor says many people including the Politicians have gone and enjoyed the foreign trips but nothing transpired. Ironically today TOI published a big NEWS on the Rain and the Administration.
Regarding today’s meeting, apparently he had not read my Article IT Professionals - The Hidden Power thoroughly. I had tried to explain him that it is not possible with govt., nor with anybody but the IT professionals, if they step in, can do wonders and also show a way to the society. He has asked me to call him tomorrow at 6.00pm to discuss regarding the same..
Now I need to see whether I will be able to get him over phone.

We cannot even enjoy rains, thanks to our inefficient Governments
Soothing Rain after hot Summer
What is that we are likely to see in a week or so? Rain Gods start showering their love by drenching us with warm water and making us happy to the hilt. Then the same rain gods cause havoc to our lives. We shall see water getting logged in almost all the main roads. All the streets and lanes will be seen with flowing rain water. Drainages are seen leaking and flowing through our streets. Mosquitoes are seen playing and enjoying. Open manholes, pot holes, open nalas flowing and so on.
Bitter Effects
Traffic jams everywhere. Motorists driving carefully to ensure that they avoid open manholes, pot holes as the places are inundated with water. Some cars getting stuck in the middle of the road because of engine break-down. People are seen walking on the road carefully as if landmines are planted, because they are not sure if there is any open manhole. Water coming into houses in low lying areas. Poor children getting drowned in the open manholes (God Forbid!). Poorly built houses, walls, under construction houses or bridges collapse killing and injuring people. Malaria etc spreading fast in epidemic prone areas.
Administration - The Spectators
Like our Indian movies where the police always come after the crime is committed or every thing is finished, the administration suddenly wakes up after the rain has caused the damage and start taking actions. The administration does not predict the extent of rainfall and the aftermath. All the traffic personnel are seen busy controlling the traffic. A few cops are seen pushing the cars which are broken in the middle of the road. Municipality personnel try hard to clear the logged water and trees etc which fell on the road.
The Drama of Opposition Parties
The rains come and go causing all problems to the common man. But during the gap (only) all our opposition leaders pour on to the streets wherever the damage is more. The bridge/wall collapses, they demand ex-gratia for the victims, punishment for the builders etc. A child gets drowned, along with the family of the child stage dharnas in front of collector’s office for justice. The traffic comes to a halt, utter chaos prevails hence declare that the total administration has failed etc and demand resignation from the Ministers including Chief Minister.
The Counter Attack of the Government
Now the leaders come out of their houses once the rain has stopped and start assessing the situation. They do not go to a place where the opposition parties have already reached to avoid confrontation. Once they hear the opposition parties charges they start digging out the statistics of the prior governments activities or actions. They may say “in your period there was heavy rainfall, x people got drowned, y people died of epidemic, z died of building/bridge collapse etc”.
Ecstatic Media
Our media brethren start flashing the opposition leaders who now have a chance to display their concern towards the society. They ask the same old known questions to the opposition leaders and relish their answers, thinking that they brought to light something new. Again work hard to pin point the ruling leaders but eventually fail to extract something new from them.
Do we see anything different this time?
Well, it is anybody’s guess or bet that we are going to see the something this rainy season also. Can any leader promise that there will not be any trouble during this rainy season? Can any leader list our the measures he is planning to avoid damage, inconvenience to the society etc. Again it is anybody’s guess that no leader can take these kinds of challenges.
Responsibility of the Administration
The administration has to foresee the problems much before the rainy season. The administration should :
Ø Identify the water logging areas
Ø Low lying areas
Ø Epidemic prone areas
Ø Heavy traffic areas
Ø Open Nalas
Ø Overflowing lakes, ponds etc.
Develop a mechanism or system in such a manner that the water does not get stagnated when it rains heavily, in busy traffic areas, at least. If we do not know how to do it we may have to import the know-how from developed countries. If required appoint a consultancy to carry out the study of the existing system and the issues and propose suitable solutions.
Before the rainy season the complete sewerage and drainage system should be thoroughly checked. It should be ensured that drainage system is completely leak proof. For heavy traffic zones routes should be diverted for rainy season at least. Ensure that all the roads are repaired before the rainy season. Measures should be taken that no malaria or epidemic breaks-out, near epidemic prone areas etc. If required educate the people on how to prevent malaria etc.
Responsibilities of Leaders
All our leaders instead of talking after the rain doing damage should run around their constituencies or regions and try to prevent the troubles beforehand. They should prepare a list of areas where :
Ø Manholes are open,
Ø Roads are in a shabby state
Ø Leaking drainages
Ø Bridges are under construction
Ø Low lying areas etc.
They should now make the life of the administration miserable and get these manholes covered, roads are repaired, drainages are sealed etc. They should ask the administration to list all the measures they are taking to remove the stagnant water fast, how they are avoiding traffic jams etc. They should even get all the new buildings, under construction projects get checked whether proper quality is maintained etc. If required hire for research agencies and ensure that the builders are using correct methods.
Moreover a leader is not the person who sits in the house eating hot bajjis and pakodas when it’s raining heavily, instead takes to the streets to see where all water is logged and what kind of troubles the rain is creating, check whether there are any open manholes etc. and ensure that the administration is on the job.
The real MLA / MP
The Family
When a candidate becomes an MLA/MP then his constituency becomes his house and all the people his family members. Hence it is his responsibility to ensure that as a head of the family his house is maintained properly and his family is run towards progress.
Anybody who does not treat the constituency like this is unfit to be a leader. People in politics keep saying we are for the people, we are doing service to the people, then let them take the responsibility of the total family.
Let us try to understand what a family head (an ideal public servant) should know or plan to do from a common man’s perspective.
Knowledge about his Family (Constituency)
He should have a fair knowledge about his Family and the house. He should know how many people (families) live, what is their livelihood, what are the assets in his house like educational institutions, hospitals, industries, government offices etc. and what is their state.
Understanding of Critical Issues in his family
Each family or house has its own problems. He should have a fair understanding of the critical issues in his family or house. How are the facilities in and around his house (constituency) like roads, street lights, medical facility, electricity, water, wells etc? He should also know how many uncovered nalas and bore wells are there which may be dangerous for his children. How many of his brothers and relatives are unemployed etc.
Plan for solving Critical Problems
No family head sleeps peacefully when his family and house is in deep problems or critical state. He should always be in pursuit of solutions for his family problems. He should formulate clear cut time bound strategies to solve each and every issue in his family (constituency). He should ensure that the roads are maintained properly, drugs are supplied in time to hospitals, education is imparted to each and every child, water and electricity facilities are provided to all, providing employment or loans to his unemployed brothers (unemployed youth) etc.
Understanding of the ground realities
He should be well aware of the prices of basic commodities, like rice, edible oil and so on. What are the wages of his poor brothers’ i.e., laborers, rickshaw pullers, coolies etc. What will be the monthly expenses for a family of 4 on an average? Will their wages be sufficient to run their family? He should be in a position to suggest proper measures to help them lead a comfortable life.
Revival of his destitute brothers and sisters (Beggars)
He should know how many of his weaker, helpless brethren are in the business of begging and where are they scattered (located in his constituency). He should search for all these beggars in all the places like railway station, outside temples, streets etc. and initiate actions to revive them. He should have adequate plans for bringing them back to mainstream and lead a normal life.
Shelter and facilities for elders of his family
In our society aged/elders are treated as worthless people and are driven away from families. He should setup several homes for aged people and ensure that they are provided with proper facilities. Should also frequently visit these places and find out their problems. Similarly he should also strive to set up Orphanages.
Insurance coverage for his poor brothers and sisters
He will definitely have insurance coverage on his name but how about his poor brothers and sisters like laborers, rickshaw pullers, coolies etc. In a family if the only person earning falls sick or dies in an accident who will support or feed the family? Their earnings are not even sufficient to fetch a square meal a day, then how can they invest on insurance coverage. Hence he should provide insurance coverage’s for all the people using some or the other schemes.
Providing Houses to his brethren below poverty line
As the family head he should be well aware of where all his poor brothers and sisters are living and in what conditions. If they are living below poverty line and in huts then on war footing he should work to provide good houses to all these poor people. This should be planned to be completed within 5 years (his tenure).
Preventing Child labor for his children
No family head would like to see his child work as laborer. It is his utmost responsibility to ensure that children are provided with all the facilities like education and food etc. He should plan to eradicate child labor in his family (constituency) completely. He should visit frequently the places where children are most likely to be used for work.
Corruption
A big family generally has several people and not all people are alike. A few indulge in corrupt practices and hence as a family head he has to visit (surprise visits) their places of work/offices like hospitals, schools, colleges, government offices etc. and check how they are carrying out their activities. If required use some secret agents to check the corruption activities.
Hygiene, Sanitation & Cleanliness
As a head of the family he should educate his people the importance of cleanliness and hygiene. He should ensure that proper sanitation is provided and also ensure that the total house (constituency) is made hygienic. He should propagate the importance of cleanliness to the society by going to people and asking them to maintain cleanliness in their respective areas.
Checking crime rate
Instead of crying after dacoit has taken place it is better to prevent it. So as a family head he must suggest the ways and means of reducing robberies or theft. He should request people (colonies/villages) to collect a meager Rs.50/-or so from all the people in the surrounding area and hire private securities with mobile phones to guard their streets. As a family head he must visit the police stations and enquire the type of offenses or crimes being committed by his brothers. Some good measures like counseling have to be taken and try to reduce the crime rate. If need be revive the people involved in crime and take their responsibilities.
Personal Visits
As a family head he has to take the responsibility of all the people and visit their places frequently, say once in every month or so. Each village or each colony should be visited frequently to find out their grievances, list them out and ensure that their problems are solved within a week’s time. Appoint an individual (if required) for each area to oversee the works being done.
Foresee the future problems
Family Heads always try to foresee the problems in the future and also try to prevent the troubles beforehand. For example even before rainy season starts he should foresee the problems of rain like water logging, pot holes, open drainages etc. and plan for the measures to overcome these difficulties. Similarly try to find out the number of uncovered manholes/bore wells and ensure that they are covered properly.
Use Innovative Ideas
For running a huge family normal income may not be sufficient. Hence a family head will have to use innovative ideas and try to generate sources for funds so that these funds could be utilized for developing the place or setting up orphanages etc.
A true public servant
From the above it is clear that a true family head (public servant) is the one who works for his people round the clock and 365 days a year. Hence an MLA/MP is the one who does not prefer to confine himself to AC cars or rooms but defies hot, humid and sultry whether and goes to interior places to find out the problems of the people. He is not the person who sits in the house eating hot bajjis and pakodas when its raining heavily, instead takes to the streets to see where all water is logged and what kind of troubles the rain is creating, check whether there are any open manholes etc. and ensure that the administration is on the job.

TRS - The Last Chance
Ø Do people really want
Ø Are people only inclined towards only development which KCR is not known for
Ø Is the decision of KCR for mass resignation correct
Ø Is he willing to accept the referendum?
Ø Will he agree that the Telangana wave/Sentiment is not as strong as he is thinking
Ø Is Mr.Chandra Shekhar efficient enough to lead for a good cause
Ø Is he only playing the Telangana card to fool the people and stay in power etc.
Ø Are TRS’s days numbered etc?
Fate of lost candidates
Upon the suggestion of their leader Mr.KCR all the legislators and MPs have resigned believing that they will definitely come back. Now that several candidates have lost, what will be their political future? Their one point agenda separate state was rejected bluntly by their constituencies.
Their party never insisted on development or growth but rather used one point agenda only. Hence for the next elections, which is not far away, their party agenda of one point agenda will never work.
They cannot join other parties, as their slogan of Separate Telangana is not appreciated by other parties. If at all Mr.Chiranjeevi launches a party he may not allow these leaders, they hardly have done anything for the society. Hence these people now have their political career at stake.
State of other TRS MLAs
People have not shown much interest to Telangana sentiment in many of the places in Telangana region. Congress and TDP became very strong in Telangana, proving that TRS is losing its sheen. Megastar Chiranjeevi is planning to launch a new party very soon. In these circumstances the current MLAs might start thinking about their luck for the next elections which is again round the corner. They might either lose hope or start thinking about the party’s leadership and the leadership’s ability to really pull up and restore the lost glory.
The only way these MLAs can retain their seats is probably to stop chanting Telangana slogan and start working for people, show tangible developmental progress in their respective constituencies. To save their own skin, rather than listening to their leader, the MLAs may have to focus more on critical issues and development. Again there is every chance that these leaders may plan to switch over to more powerful parties like Congress or TDP.
Future of TRS
All the parties got carried away by the TRS movement and started playing Telangana cards, but after the result, the Telangana issue is definitely going to take a back seat in their respective parties. Now Chiranjeevi also may not talk about separate Telangana and may focus more on developmental activities in this region. Already the Telangana sentiment is slowly waning and with Chiranjeevi launching the party the sentiment will totally die down with Chiru wave.
With only one year for the next elections can things be changed? If they go back to the people to make their movement more strong what would be their strategy. They may use the following points to woo the people.
Ø Telangana has been neglected for years
Ø We will continue our fight for a separate state
Ø We will conduct Telangana Garjanas etc.
Ø We will pressurize the governments at centre and the state to give in
Ø We will take other national level parties into confidence
Ø We will not sleep till we get separate Telangana
Ø Congress has cheated us by not keeping their promise
Ø TDP was never serious about Telangana development and so on.
But right from day one TRS has been talking about these points only. These points only have costed them several seats in the elections. If they continue the same there will be no tomorrow for TRS.
Will Mr.KCR do a Lal Bahudur Shartry?
In these circumstances will Mr.KCR take moral responsibility and resign straight away like the stubborn Lal Bahuder Shastry. But how many Lal Bahudur Shastris have we seen of late? Or will he only express his desire to step down and but upon his colleagues behest continue as party leader. And even if he steps down, is there any other leader who is competent enough to lead for such a big movement? Or will he make any of his relatives the party president and he will still be behind all the decisions. People will be observing more keenly his moves and based on this their faith on the party will be either restored or strengthened.
If their conscience says that their movement is correct then they should not give up and come back more strongly. Now they have clear information about the public mandate. They have the opportunity to make an analysis of this and plan for a complete change in their style of functioning, policies, strategies, may be even leadership, as the current leader does not even come out to talk to people when the results are out. The next general elections are the only opportunity left for them to prove their strength and the Telangana sentiment.
Let actions speak
Empty Talk
The failure of TRS is mainly due to their slogan, separate Telangana. Right of day one TRS has been saying, “hey look Telangana is coming, look Telangana is coming!” Where have they spoken about the development activities? People are fed up with their slogan of separate Telangana. They would not like to here them again and again.
Actions
Only talks always fail. Actions speak volumes. Seeing is believing. So TRS if at all they are serious about the cause of Telangana, they should stop talking about it and let the actions speak. Physically show to the people of Telangana how developed their place appears if it were a separate state. This is how they can convince the people of Telangana that they have really lost a lot by not being a separate state.
Plan
They should select a place which is completely underdeveloped, may be a village, town or constituency (as in Adilabad). List out all the critical issues like malaria, poor medical facilities, bad roads, Irrigation, unemployment, etc. If Telangana were a separate state, list out what benefits would that particular place get? As a separate state what plans would have been made and implemented? What benefits would that place reap? How developed would that place look and so on?
Based on this a perfect plan needs to be made to develop this place as if a new state is given, within a timeframe i.e. before the general elections next year.
Funds
Now ascertain the funds needed to develop the selected place using the plans that were to be implemented as a part of a separate state. Plan to arrange for the funds from all the sources and contacts. For example:
Ø Industrialists/Businessmen in the region who wish for a separate state
Ø NRIs who TRS boasts of having good links
Ø Party leaders, as no leader now a days belongs to have-nots category
Ø Conducting Road shows and other programs etc.
This again is the test for all the top people who have vociferously asked for a separate state. If they really have the concern for their region and people, then they will definitely come forward and donate their heart out.
Execution
Arrange some responsible people like retired IAS officers, voluntary organizations etc., to plan for the total developmental activities. The plans may include :
Ø Training the unemployed youth and women in various arts, fields etc
Ø Providing small loans for self employment to the needy
Ø Providing medical facilities like setting up Trust Hospitals, free medicine etc.
Ø Taking up small irrigational projects for their agricultural needs
Ø Developing roads and other infrastructural facilities and so on.
The execution of these plans with sincerity, hard work and dedication will only yield results which in turn can keep the party moving forward.
The developments
Now list out the developments and make public known what they have achieved. What was the state of the place before implementing the plans and how developed does it appear now. Arrange the research agencies to check out the tangible benefits/developments. Prepare a case study and prepare a specimen of model state using this case study.
The result
Now the TRS has something to boast about. Earlier TRS was only displaying their oratory skills and this time more than their oratory skills their actions speak. They can now tell the people of Telangana what they have been missing and what they will get if they get a separate state status.
If this kind of plan is really executed then even the upcoming Chiranjeevi party cannot shake the TRS party and nobody can stop TRS from getting a separate state.
DO or DIE
If the leaders feel that Telangana was really neglected and cannot be developed without being a separate state, then they should take the movement forward with some powerful development activities on war footing. But at the same time if the leadership feels that there is not much of Telangana sentiment etc. they should desist from preaching Telangana state and start working on Telangana development activities. Mr.KCR could not even show his face to the people when the results were declared. Now with some work in Telangana at least they can face the people.
